MDG Earl Cotter O’Keefe Watters Marsh Cosgrove All the above not good enough & want moving on, but it’s too late as the window is nearly shut. At least 3 strikers needed.
Any momentum we had lost by bringing Hourihane on and latterly taking Connell off. Marsh isn't the answer. Watters put himself about and was better than Marsh. Earl is total dogger. Need two strikers and an attacking midfielder that has an attacking brain cell.
Same as the last 2 years, we don't give ourselves a chance. This board are absolute amateurs, talk about Einstein's definition of madness
Poor start for the first thirty minutes. Going to 4-4-2 made the team more solid, but meant we lacked width going forward. Bitterly disappointing night. Also, according to Sky Sports, we've signed a new goalkeeper.
Hopefully today hammers home that we are nowhere near good enough to even think about being in the promotion race. We’ll do well to break into the top half this season. These next couple of weeks of the window are huge, more of the same & it adds an extra couple of years to our stay in this league.
Had a bad feeling before the game. Let’s hope it’s a one off and some new signings make the difference. Not expecting anywhere near a play off push this season. Any Hollywood actors looking to copy Ryan should give the current owners a call.
But it's the same every year, we're never ready for the start of the season 'til October when the new signings made late in the window settle in.
Sitting here on holiday in Spain I actually thought we were by far the better side from about 20 minutes in. Any quality at all up front and we’d have won comfortably.
Seems like those in charge see the ‘window’ as the timeline for building a squad. Am i wrong in thinking that the aim should be to have the squad ready for the first game. Of course its a long season but we seem to disadvantage ourselves often with the late start.
As per last season, I'll give it 10 league matches before I start to make an honest assessment of the Head Coach. Sadly the board aren't helping him, much like with Collins last season.
Beaten by a team on a promotion crest of a wave. Won it in the first 20 mins.. we huffed and puffed but looked the mid table side we've been tipped to be
Something @SuperTyke kept highlighting last season. We can't afford to carry luxury players in this team.
