My eldest great neice is six next week and I think she could knock Cosgrove off the ball. For a big guy he's weak as piss.
Err, Don Goodman and Karl Rose and Mike Turner. In the new year of '99 (with John Hendrie), after we'd sold Ashley Ward.
I think there will be a few named and yes will be poor players - but I don’t think any will be actually ‘worse’ The option up front now is as ineffective as anything we’ve had.
Carl Bradshaw on loan, and I think Darren Foreman, and an untested David Hirst. At the start of season '86, and 6 straight losses!!.
Without doubt, we should have scored more goals tonight. Must be incredibly frustrating for the rest of the team to watch some of the finishing in front of them. Watters weak side foot to the keeper was a low point for me.
I think when you're starved of service for 18 months and 25 mins you snatch at things. The longer you're starved the farther you miss. Both strikers tonight have no faith in our midfield. The feeling is evidently mutual because the midfield don't create and would rather go alone. Not saying Cosgrove and Watters are world beaters but the service is crap. The midfield is static and crap. Not crap individuals but a crap unit. Has been for at least 3 years now.
Yeah it doesn’t take much to get them in favour. The odd goal, one assisting the other - just looking like a front 2 rather than two strangers that rarely hit a barn door between them. So near but yet so far.
An old lad summed it up when I went to the loo, he said do you remember when you were a young un and you got a new bike for Christmas, you were dead exited and couldn’t wait to get out on your bike for the first time . But when you got out you realised there were no fooking pedals.
Was Bruce Dyer out at that time ?. I remember we spent (and some say wasted) the Ward money, on Mike Sheron.
