For the majority of that season, at least the more vocal element of this forum made a lot out of his inability to complete 90 minutes. I distinctly recall threads after Lincoln in the Cup and Derby in the Cup saying he wasn't up to it.
The one on the bounce with the ball rising? No way that was the easiest chance of the night. The free header from 6 yards out that Watters put 15 yards wide was a much easier chance. Watters also had a free shot at goal from the edge of the box dead centre that he opted to put out wide, I'd argue that was a clearer goalscoring opportunity.
the one he missed from 6 yards out was a very easy chance. The free header he had was a close second. In a poor field Watters was slightly less awful.
Easiest chance of the night was the.one 6 yards out when Watters passed back to their goalkeeper. The full back couldn't have done it any better.
The finishing last night was appalling, no other word for it. And can we keep making excuses about a lack of matches or a lack of confidence etc. Norwood did a good job for us, alongside Cole that season. And it was scandalous that he was allowed to leave us two days before the new season, and for a non league team!.
Overall, I didn't think Watters played particularly bad, but he was a rabbit in headlights in front of goal. We'll have to disagree on the chances though, as I don't think the first was as easy as you say, and from memory, there was no pace on the cross for the header and he had his back to goal.
