We did. 0-0 just before Xmas 1998. One of the first matches I took my then girlfriend (now wife) to. She lived nr Hatfield and I was down visiting for the weekend and I persuaded her it would be fun. Absolutely zero entertainment in sub zero temperatures. Despite all that she didn't complain once. That's when I knew she was a keeper
Not really pal it’s used as a comparator to say Cole wasn’t very good and neither is Watters, but nice try trolling to see something that isn’t there.
this is according to soccer base so it could be completely wrong but it says that before Friday Watters and Cosgrove had only ever played 58 minutes together. Is that right?
Cole wasn't great but he was a better striker than Watters. 40+ goals for Barnsley over his two spells. Having said that, hope Watters turns it around.
Clive Bakers brother in law was one of our security men when I worked at Norfolk College in Kings Lynn. That was in the late 1990s.
And remember Roger Hansbury (the Barnsley born former Birmingham goalkeeper), his brother drives for the Barnsley Gxo site. And I used to chat with him loads when he came to our site. About the then Duff season, when we all thought we were going up!. Well, that's my claim to fame on this thread.
Wouldn’t be surprised at that. Mainly Cole & McAtee last season, and I can remember a few games when McAtee started with Cosgrove.
I think SuperTyke and biglil would be a worse strike force. Maybe same goal output but not as mobile.
Cosgrove would thrive with wingers putting crosses in constantly from both sides... or even full backs. The best crosser (allegedly) we have now was subbed off in the first half. Lofthouse put a couple of good balls in towards the end. But yeah, these guys rely on balls into the box, not tippy tippy stuff, through balls etc. Certainly Cosgrove anyway.
