NHS X-ray operators have been told to ask men if they are pregnant before conducting scans, The Telegraph can reveal. Radiographers at multiple hospitals have been told they must check whether all patients aged 12 to 55 are pregnant, regardless of their sex, as part of inclusivity guidance.
Obviously a slow news day. This is the second time since the policy was created in 2021 that the telegraph has run this half truth story. Wonder what they are trying to distract from. But seriously it relates to a trans man who was pregnant receiving a CT scan without being asked. The policy revolves around ensuring that noone trans or non binary slips through for a scan that is harmful to unborn babies without this check. They are not literally asking all males despite the deceptive wording in the articles.
This is also part of the policy but has caused similar issues including an urgent cancer patient walking out of an appointment. Difficult and delicate balance I think.
If the bloke next door is pregnant, he will be the talk of our street....he's not married Saying that If he is pregnant, i hope they dont think im the father...I'm always popping round for a cuppa and doing odd jobs for him
With me they saw my manboobs. Looked down at my d ick and thought it was a large clitoris. Automatically they thought I was pregnant. I said no "it's just the baby weight I gained from the last one".
Thank you for the context. Seems a perfectly reasonable form. Don't see how filling that in hurts anyone.
