That's fine. Been a crazy game with the start the Originals had looking like 200 and then go over 50 balls without a boundary. Enjoying this Harry Brook knock already.

Pooran currently facing his 7th ball without scoring a run- northern super gash.

What a FANTASTIC run chase that was. Wonderful batting from Pooran, Brook and Hose. Terrific game of cricket!!

He's a genius. His 113 metre six out the back of the temporary stand was one of the biggest ever. He's more than lived up to being the number 1 draft pick.

He’s WI’s highest run scorer in 20 over games having surpassed the great one

Beats me why people bad-mouth this competition. Ok, maybe it overloads the calendar but what a privilege it is seeing these overseas stars playing in England. I know it’s all wrong seeing YJB playing for Wales and Root for Notts but look at the talent in our team - Pooran, Santner and Stokes just to name three.

I’m only watching our games and really enjoying the talent on show. I follow ALL disciplines of cricket. They’ve all got their place.

you’ve identified two things wrong with it straight away.

there’s no ebb or flow, it’s crash bang wallop designed for those who dont want to watch a game develop. This unfortunately is the way of the world now.

each to there own and im certainty not not going to deride anyone enjoying it but its not for me.

I like it too. It's not to be taken too seriously. Just enjoy it as great players, in a new format, in double headers. Only one game for the Superchargers to go and we don't know if a win for the men or the women would still be enough, it's that tight. If as expected IPL owners buy in to the franchise that should see the India cricket board being pressured to allow their men to play, which will only strengthen it. Women's crowds have seen record highs this season and they have broken through the million attendance barrier for the four years it's been going.

The one woman team Originals earlier, the innings from Beth Mooney was fantastic.

There was plenty of ebb and flow to that game tonight. The home team started like they were going to smash 300 off the 100 balls but then they got pegged back to a more modest 152. Superb bowling did that.

Then the opposite happened with a crawl off the first 50 balls with Stokes going off injured. But then those mentioned above moved up several gears and certain defeat turned into a great win.

The Old Trafford crowd went home unhappy. What’s not to like??

    Americanized franchise ststem
    The dreadful player draft
    Silly team names
    Silly bowling system
Played at old trafford but got nothing to do with Yorks/ lancs
    Doesn’t last 5 days
Takes 4 weeks out of peak county season

I’m just a curmudgeon though and don’t like quick cricket. It’s great if kids enjoy it who wouldn’t entertain watching other forms and it has certainly enhanced coverage of women on both sky and the bbc

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that we crashed out of the 50 over World Cup since we relegated it to a minor countries comp. I suppose it depends where the ECB priorities lie- making money or nurturing English talent.

It’s Yorks v Lancs as far as I’m concerned. I don’t use these stupid franchise names. Every team has players on loan, in and out. I can’t stand the hoo-hah that goes with it (same goes for the T20) but I do enjoy watching the cricket

Can believe Sourhern Brave won that. It was game over once Livingston hit a 6 of a no ball first ball of the last over. Can’t believe Phoenix lost from there
