    He's here for 3 years not 3 weeks.I'd rather he got up to speed than thrown in to be tore apart from our knowledgeable supporters.

    Agree with that. If he played too soon and turned into a Frimpong Mk 2 he'd be destroyed in no time by our ever-patient crowd. Easy does it, feed him into the system as and when ready.

    But every single club in the country signs flops. On a regular basis. I agree that the two Belgians were a scandalous waste of resources by Conway. I could, however, go back through fifty odd years of Barnsley history and cite players that never worked out. Why do we have to have this constant narrative that only Barnsley and, in particular the current system, are at fault.

    Just a small example of how to make mistakes in the recruiting process. It balances out though. Often players come in with no expectation of being worth a shirt and end up as crowd pleasers. Nature of the game.
