I think most if not all of us got his point. It can be the very intolerant few. Who sometimes spout education is the right way, Hate bullying but are sometimes bullying. And choose to ridicule or call someone out, without real justification sometimes. That solves nothing. Maybe some ought to step back a little instead. And put more thought into replies.
I agree the op. hasn't really answered the questions as to why he feels the way he does.Which is frustrating at worst and given stock answers cos he probably feels attacked. (Many threads eg Concerns and fears don't equal racist Yet people get labelled as such.)

I actually agree with that guy in the video to an extent, and also she just comes across as a massive conspiracy theorist, the way she repeatedly mentions globalists.

There are lots of people that don’t want work, I’ve known quite a few in my lifetime, and also people whose lifestyle and attitude makes them unemployable for very long.

if you flip flop from left or right wing to right down the middle quickly enough you can cross the ball and head it in yourself. ;)

The thing is though, and this is obviously what the OP was referring to, is that nobody on that side of the political spectrum ever produces any evidence/facts to back up their argument or opinions.

I've seen countless people pop up with the following, or variations of:

    - Two Tier Policing
    - Adult Males of fighting age
    - They come here cos we pay higher benefits and put them in 5 star hotels
    - They're all tooled up with machetes and AK47s
    - They're all paedophiles
    - We'll be a minority in our own country
    - It's not safe to walk round *insert area*

And that's just off the top of my head - there'll definitely be more. Whenever someone is then questioned or debated about their opinion with any kind of facts/statistics/law/, they then immediately go on the defensive and claim they aren't allowed an opinion. We saw it the other night with the bloke who didn't want to or couldn't understand why the rioters were charged and jailed faster than the murderer the other week.

It becomes frustrating and often leads to people losing their heads.

That's how I see it anyway.

Spot on. It would be like someone repeatedly saying, "I think Connell is crap" ok but why? "Cos he's crap" and then wonder why people get annoyed when the same **** is parroted.

    Exactly.

Whereas if said person then followed up with "because his pass completion is only 67% or whatever, and his shot accuracy is just 33%" then you could understand it - they've used facts to back up an opinion.

You could disagree, but respect an opinion.

I've limited my replies to the op solely to challenging his views that the forum is flawed because it has a left of centre bias (even though he seemingly thinks left of centre means far left.)
He's absolutely out of line. The forum reflects the people that post on it. He can either make valid right wing arguments or post elsewhere. As I said, there's no barbed wire round this place. People are free to come and go as they choose.

It does get frustrating but its incumbent on us all not to lose our heads, to keep the civility. If decent folk start slagging off and name-calling the racists, misogynists etc. they lose the argument just as much as the person who lost the argument in the first place. Getting pi.ssed off and insulting achieves nothing of value (apart from giving the insulter the satisfaction that they gave the other fellow a verbal kicking).

If someone says something that is racist or misogynist (etc.) then shouldn't we tell them that what they have said is considered racist or misogynist *and why*? Sometimes it can be badly phrased or a legacy from years of using a saying or word - some were acceptable 20-30 years ago and aren't now and education can help to reduce the use of it. Other times, people are just racist or misogynist and need it pointing out.

Re the other night. I get people getting frustrated and losing their heads. It was quite obvious early on the poster didnt let it sink in. Or was a wum as I stated at the time. Was the point resolved. No. So the longer it went on with different posters putting their pennath in. (We can all be guilty of that btw) The more frustrating it gets and sometimes leads to abuse. I seem to remember and stand corrected, one or two. Buggering off to bed. (Wasn't you one of em. Born out of frustration Apologies if not) And others continuing with it. Achieving what was absolutely obvious, It was going nowhere and would not get anywhere. I could have joined the conversation But I'd have only repeated what was said numerous times.

As for all those incidents you mention. I'm not denying the fact. But there are others that do not fit into that description and are subject to abuse. Bullying in effect.
I have seen people with an agenda trying to put words into others mouths. To try prove a point. Or their imaginary superior intelligence when in fact it makes themselves to be the fools.
Not everyone is great at getting things over in writing. I've been misunderstood many a time. Face to face can often have a very different slant on it.
Sorry if I harp back to being a shop steward. I was representing colleagues on many occasions. And routine investigations had HR taking notes whilst I was present. At the disciplinary you would not believe how many of those notes were a complete fabrication/misrepresentation of the actual conversation.

I’ve always thought it is difficult to tell extremes apart. How far apart were Hitler and Stalin (and controversially) Churchill? Everyone seems to think that left and right are choices on a straight line and the more you go one way the further you go from the other. On a circular continuum the further you go to the extreme right the more likely you are to meet the extreme left in your views and opinions.
I don’t believe that people have been driven from this forum for their beliefs, but they will get a measure of how much of their belief is agreed with. Having taken this measure it is up to the member what he/she/whatever does about it. If a poster sets out to be offensive then they are unlikely to be agreed with. That’s straight forward social behaviour.
If I’ve repeated what has been already stated, I apologise, but I haven’t got the time to read them all.

Then there is the other side of the coin. I've had it where I have given an honest opinion of a player as I allus do. And rarely if ever criticise someone for having a different view. In a personal manner. State your case, fine but that should be the end of it. But i've lost count of the number of times I had to repeat myself as to why. Because the other poster in his opinion not only goes on to disagree to the extent he's absolutely right. I'm wrong. Hows that work. ? And then go on to say I'm in a minority. Cos others think same as him. Why should I give a fekk what others think. It's only football . Accept an opinion. Disagree but ffs, beyond that, it's mental.

I agree with you, if you've given your reasons then that's all you can do.

The 'adult males of fighting age' is a weird new thing isn't it?

Of course no male above or below that age or female for that matter, would ever commit a crime, claim benefits etc.
Or white British people.....they never do anything wrong!

What exactly is the range of 'adult males of a fighting age'?
