Pines

Missed the game today, noticed Pines completed 90 mins which is great just wondered how he faired today?

 

Thought he played well mate. A couple of dodgy touches/mishaps but overall a very decent performance, dominant in the air when needed, a couple of good interceptions. Hopefully he'll remain fully fit because he's a huge player for us, literally...

 

He looked solid and seems to love defending, definitely a bonus for us today.

 

Echo this. Not the finished article by any means, but then again neither is Roberts and he’s 34.

 

Did he look upto speed or perhaps another 2/3 games off being really firing

 

I don't think so mate. Looked fine. Didn't seem lacking in fitness even towards back end, though I did only watch it on telly so perhaps someone who was actually there might think differently bud. If he's not fully fit now he certainly doesn't seem far off anyway

 

Appreciate the update, great to hear, a fit pines will make such a difference, I don't think it's coincidental our form and goals against started tailing off when he got injured last season.

 

Very good in the air. As is Roberts. And for the much of the game Lincoln lobbed it up for Pines and Roberts to head it away. He'll have much tougher tests, but did what he had to do today very well.

 

He did well. I liked having him and Roberts on pitch together, they both won basically all of their duels and bullied the Lincoln strikers really.

A few very dodgy half clearances nearly cost us but Roberts did a dodgy clearance that did cost us

 

Not much, if anything at all got past him on the ground either. Some iffy clearances from both him and Robbo but they weren’t helped by a virtually non existent midfield in that second half.

 

Great to see him given 90 minutes. I got the impression b4. That was a few weeks away..
