Weirdly you have repeatedly dodged the replies to that incorrect comment made by yourself, people have done this in the past on this boarded and been rightly hounded but you seem to get away with dodging facts, and just repeating the incorrect bigoted comments whilst putting Rowling on a pedestal.

Some true colours have been shown by you in the matter of this subject. Very disappointing.

Worth mentioning she was only banned after beating a Russian boxer in the WC that is run by Russians.

 

Come on there’s no need to get personal on this.

Helen is a good person pretty much everything she posts shows this.

it’s a very emotive issue and people go nuclear very quickly. For me it’s the human element to this that’s important. Put the politics to one side we have a person born and raised a woman getting vile abuse. Wherever you stand on things that can’t be right.

 

I think Helen has been perfectly civil on this subject. I don't agree with her point of view but I don't think she has been unreasonable in presenting it.

In a lot of ways this is exactly how difficult subjects should be discussed on these kind of forums.

There really is no need for personal attacks.

but hey-ho she's a woman so we can't have her having views on trans-gender issues can we?

Nor is she a bigot for having a view on the issue of trans people and their participation in sport.

Surprising (perhaps not!) - how much vitriol directed at JK Rowling by men (here) because she campaigns for women to have safe-places - an equal playing field in sport etc.

And why is it those who now say and support the notion of there being no need for 'personal attacks' are the ones who have done the 'personal attacking in this thread ?'

 

I certainly haven’t attacked Helen. We have had an open debate and I respect her position on trans people that’s certainly not a black and white issue. I have more issues with anyone supporting the on line bullying of women but again we can talk about this without shouting at each other.

As for Rowling bullying women on line and aligning yourself with the Christian fundamentalist right with its anti feminist agenda doesn’t demonstrate her caring about women.

 

I don't think 30 odd tweets & retweets about Khelif based on a poorly explained decision by a discredited, Kremlin associated, Boxing Association including numerous that incorrectly called her 'he'...

...or actively and deliberately misgendering trans women as men and taking the Mick out of them..

... can really be put under the umbrella of "campaigning for safe spaces for women". It's bigotry by any standard.

Bad people can still campaign for good causes.

What exactly am I dodging? And I'm not putting JKR on any pedestal, just pointing out that she is concerned with women's righta in general not just the trans issue as some are suggesting.

 

JK Rowling since being named in a lawsuit by Imane Khelif hasnt tweeted anything on her social media in 13 days, in fact she's deleted 27 tweets.

very strange behaviour from this clearly innocent woman.

 

It'd be a shame if many thousands of people took screenshots of every single one.

No apology yet though. Does she really think anything is permanently deleted on the internet?

You're right whoever faked that screenshot got a huge amount of people hook line and sinker. And that got the rest of us.

The dates of many of the tweets supposedly deleted are in the 13+ days where she hasn't tweeted

Not really. The tweets are there despite someone posting they were deleted. Straightforward fact.

 

In fairness they posted a fake twitter report showing that some were deleted, but not all. It's only because the dates align with dates where she was never seen to have tweeted that it became apparent it was faked
