Me too. Stout tonight, so it has more body to stop it getting around the clenched teeth. Still a slight spillage to report.
2 goals today. Until we sign anyone, he needs to be considered. I don't know, but 2 tidy finishes. Lofthouse looking great IMO.
Dyer will be on sometime in 2nd half. Loft house, Russell, Lopata, Yoganathan likely to be on bench for next league match, so suspect changes
He's done very well, but you've got to consider the opposition. If he's being brought into the team for League 1 games then he's got to play in midfield because that's his best position. Let's not throw him to the dogs by playing in an unfamiliar position against great big centre halves who will kick him up and down, and old man him. I see the team selection today as more of a message to the board - "Look, I haven't got any strikers, get some!"
I would only expect marsh to go on as a last resort tonight. But if we are playing a wingback and a midfielder up front, with Dyer on the bench.... That doesn't sound well from where I am sat for dyer... Edit Well... What do I know. Marsh and dyer both on
I dunno. I don't really understand our policy with regard to these lesser games. I get that we're trying young lads out, and I agree with that policy, but there doesn't appear to be any consistency with which young players are selected. Seems more like everybody gets a go rather than consistently selecting the players who show the most promise.
And the next game, and the next game after that.. and then we make it to the knockout rounds. But we still keep playing the 'kids', and then we lose and go out. So what if anything do we learn, about these ridiculous kids cup games, with regards to the first team ?.
There was another big lad too, pre-season. Bagged a coupled at Guiseley I think. And I do like Nathan James.
Marsh was the only striker on the bench on Saturday mate. I presume you mean Farrell, the young striker we had on the bench at Wigan. Smith's a keeper.
Anyone understand the point of O’Keefe. Never takes the ball off anyone and absolutely useless when going forward.
