Same with Theo Chapman. This time last season he was in the first team getting league minutes now can't get in the team for the diddy cup.
If it's any consolation I went along with it. And accepted it. Until I saw the same Wigan/correction lol
The one thing I can take from this it is a better game than Barnsley v Mansfield, couple of weeks back
I don't know without checking the club site, but presumably we've got an 18s and 21s game this week too? There's also some weird rules for this cup about players being part of the previous squad, and so many players being in the next squad, if I remember right. That probably explains why there's 5 or 6 fringe first teamers playing (Marsh, Killip, Lofthouse etc).
They didn't beat us 7-0 at Oakwell Mr commentator. Do some research! (He says after mixing up a keeper and a forward.)
Maybe true mate. Hes done well there and finished his chances really well. I just assumed with us being light up top thats all, and wish Marsh being our 3rd striker not wanting to risk him the whole match
Impressive performance so far, especially when Lofthouse and Yoganathan were on. Good combination. Killip is doing nothing wrong either. The defence looks pretty solid in fact. This mixture of young lads and first team fringe players deserve a better crowd. What is it - about 1500? I thought it was funny early on hearing the Man Utd supporters singing their songs. What are they doing here anyway?? Actually, thinking about it, they probably live in Barnsley, or thereabouts. Hard to imagine fans coming over the Pennines for this game. Still half an hour to play and I'm enjoying watching it, even if it is on my iPhone. For some reason I cannot find our games either on the PC or laptop where I have a Sky Sports connection which works fine for games on the normal channels but this Sky Plus is a bit different.
I think they get given some vague dates and numbers and get asked to peddle out some stats, "the Man Utd number 47 used to get the number 12 bus to school".
