It wasn't meant in a nasty sense. It was flippant piss off. My sentiment is I can't see it working. A player coach can't pick and choose which games he plays. Not fair on other players. He's either good enough to play or he isn't.
I’ve not really seen any evidence come out of Barnsley or Hourihane that claims he’d get a considerable amount of minutes, only the fans. The only thing I’d be disappointed with is if he’s on a wage that reflects he’s in the playing squad rather than coaching.
Come off it. He played 28 prem games last season. Proper statement signing by a club that knows what its doing.
When their current owners took over they were 4 tiers below us. This year they're going to finish above us. And we're stuck with the Frittering the Inheritance Gang.
You don't go out and get a seasoned, ambitious Head Coach/ Manager like Clarke or Duff if you're totally p1 ss ing in the wind.
True. And tbf, in DC’s interview, he made it clear that whilst frustrated, it’s not at the club, it’s just at the whole transfer system as whole.
Yeah it was refreshing because although impressed I was slightly worried after his Lincoln post match interview.
He did say though he was expecting one in this week which is now looking unlikely. Can't see him been a happy bunny on Saturday especially if we miss loads of chances again.
Get your point but I can't see how beneficial him not playing is when we have the number of backroom team at Clarke's disposal. I'm sure Clarke would rather have him out there. Seems that sought of Manager. Knows what he's doing.
If nothing happens next week i reckon he will walk, big val went duff went, nobody wants to stay when they get to know the board
Are you sure, because I'm not, , my opinion not yours apparently, but without being monotonous there is still no news whatsoever coming from the board. They really don't know how to talk, they are always going to be more open but they make one statement and then shut up again
He's going to walk a month into a new job? After a handful of matches? That sounds like throwing your career away. (Edited due to possibly inappropriate wording given DC's personal history)
They can’t announce a player signing until it actually happens. The possible Ennis signing talk has apparently come from the Stoke end, which to be fair, he is their player, so it’s up to them. It does highlight the ‘trigger’ reaction though with them awaiting to bring a replacement in before he can leave. We’re hardly going to discuss actual names when they’re not (as yet) our players. There’s a week left of this transfer window let’s wait and see once the transfer-stampede dust finally settles
