He may or may not but you can't get away from it ,we set coaches on with promises which very rarely happen
We've signed 7 or 8 players so far the jigsaw will be complete when we sign the forwards we're after.
Whilst he's getting paid he's never going to walk no matter how bad it gets. He hasn't exactly got the pick of top jobs within football has he, alot of managers out of work.
This is the same Ringo who showed us last week that he doesn't understand the UK's criminal system. This week he's illustrating that he doesn't have a clue how football works either.
The owners of those clubs where Duff and Ismael went to, had bigger tinpots to pee in than we've got. I'm sure Clarke will be frustrated and disappointed, and maybe he was sold something that doesn't exist (or words to that effect). But he will be professional, and hopefully he will do his best to get the best out of what we've got.
Doesn’t alter the fact sombody should have been in place now preferably before the season started. It beggers belief that you still stick up for the shabby runners of our club., to me there are still issues within the club
I’m not sticking up for anybody, simply pointing out that it’s not a straightforward process to sign a player. Just because I don’t bairn about everything about the club doesn’t mean I’m sticking up for them. Get a grip
Was Mcatee signed before pre season training. Sometimes it's not possible to make the signings early as it is out of the clubs hand. Also every other team is in the same position. Then you have to deal with the agents .
Duff wanted certain players i believe and realised he wasn't going to get them after play off final, plus he thought the grass was greener at swansea, bui i am talking in general they sell the club to the new head coach everytime and don't fulfill the promises. We are all barnsleyfc fans but to be a fan you don't have to agree with the hierarchy, as many people know in any job
His last team just got relegated he probably feels like a got a winning lottery win being offered a job here.
It wasn't that long ago though, that managers did look at this as a great job to take. The days when we constantly had hopes of finishing higher up in the Championship.
If only it was that simple. I honestly think our problems run a lot deeper than a lack of strikers. Today against a very limited Northampton side showed that we’re lacking in all areas. Whether that’s down to systems or players or both remains to be seen.
I think we need to collectively take a chill pill. Now, I'm the first to react to a bad performance, and today was a poor one. We have 7 days to bring in a higher calibre of player, and we need to give the club that time to do that. If after next Friday we're still without better strikers and perhaps a winger, I'll be the first screaming from the Town Hall steps. I've just looked at the league table. We've only played three games. We're currently in 9th place. That means that 15 other sides in this league have had a worse start than we have - just context. Let's hope for a good performance on Tuesday, signings in by next Friday and let's look to turn the corner. While ever we're slating the Club, it's like a self-fulfilling prophecy. If we try and be positive and actually turn up to the games in numbers, we'll probably seen an uptick in performances. Not arsed to be having to defend this post all night, I'm tired and going to bed. Have a cracking weekend everyone!
I’m glad the club are balancing the books by selling before buying. Wouldn’t be surprised at a couple more leaving before next weekend. The measure of success is what we do on the field though and that’s down to the signings we bring in. Being the richest club in Division 2 isn’t success. We are Division 1 Barnsley and that doesn’t make us the pick of the clubs that players go to. Clarkes job is to improve the squad with what we can afford. If this all seems obvious, it’s because it is. Looking forward to the coming week.
