The Oakwell Centenary Society is back bigger and better than ever this year. The weekly membership will now go by the name the Barnsley FC Lottery and it will continue to fund our future.

This season, for the first time, you can now sign up and pay via direct debit digitally via our all-new online portal, available HERE.

All the money raised in the Barnsley FC lottery will be split between a cash weekly prize of £1000 and funding the club's illustrious academy. There is also an annual chance to win a yearly prize of £6000 for members along with a host of other benefits listed below.

Players such as Mason Holgate, Jacob Brown, Aiden Marsh, and now Oliver Wilkinson, who became Barnsley’s youngest-ever starter this week, have all benefitted from the lottery and now you can help us develop even more top talent by signing up today.

Head of Academy Bobby Hassell said, "We are proud of the work the academy has done over the years, we continue to produce some of the most exciting young players in the country - just this week we have seen Vimal score twice at Oakwell as well as Oliver became the youngest player to represent Barnsley Football Club. The money raised by the lottery system goes a long way to help us grow and hopefully, we can carry on producing players such as John Stones with your support."

For just £2 a week, you will receive numerous benefits, and your very own membership card bearing your Barnsley FC Lottery draw numbers.

Each week, these numbers will be entered into a prize draw, giving you the chance to win some great prizes. On week 52, these numbers will be entered into a £6,000 jackpot draw (T’s&C’s apply).

The benefits of joining the Barnsley FC Lottery:

    • Weekly chance to win £1,000, plus the chance of a rollover that can increase up to £5,000.
    • Weekly prize draws with up to three prizes.
    • Quarterly chance to win £500
    • 5% discount on season tickets
    • Early access to high-demand matches (after season ticket holders)
    • Refer a friend – receive a £10 one4all gift card each
    • Entry into a draw for an exclusive Meet the Coaches and Players evening

You will also get a membership pack consisting of:

    • An official letter of acceptance
    • Exclusive gift
    • Membership card

There’s also something for your children and grandchildren as reds supporters under the age of 18, who are linked to a lottery member, are also eligible to sign up to our FREE junior membership, which gives them access to:

    • Early access to high-demand matches (after season ticket holders), when the Club deems it necessary.
    • Exclusive birthday card from the players
    • Draw to be on a team photo
    • Chance to win a free mascot package

You can sign up today by clicking here.

Alternatively, payments can be made at Box Office and the option Is still there to pay monthly, quarterly, bi-annually, or annually.

All existing Oakwell Centenary Society members do not need to take any action, their memberships will automatically roll over.

It's not for me. The benefits, the club promoting a type of gambling or the club wanting fans to help fund something they shouldn't have to.

Let's not go over the top on this. All it is really is a re-launch of the Centenary Society - which has existed since the 1980s. Previous ownership regimes have also benefitted - it's not a new idea that the current owners have dreamt up.

Many charities run lotteries and rely very heavily on them. Fans fund most things at many clubs. Stop over-reacting

Hard to fathom the negativity. As someone has already said, it’s been running since the eighties and must have raised tens of thousands of pounds for the club over the years. Are we seriously suggesting that the club shouldn’t engage in any fundraising activities?
I’ve been a member since it’s inception in 1987 and over that period have won 6 grand as well as benefiting from a reduction in the cost of my season ticket each season.

Wow to the first 3 responses. Why does everything have to be so negative?

Just don't join if you're don't agree with something else at the club, why some on here 'support' Barnsley is beyond me. Nothing changes on here ,thought I'd give it another go but it's still as bad.

Well said. I've been in the Centenary Society since its inception. Giving it another name matters not one ****.

It's the very nature of this place SFO.
You know that from being a regular in here. Drives me mad. However, keep the faith; one day it might change!!!

They've literally put millions in to keep the club in existence.

I'm not their biggest fan by any stretch of the imagination but without an owner willing to put in that kind of money we wouldn't have a club. Simple as that.

I think you should try the free RNID online hearing test.

I seriously don't get all the negativity. Bairnin for bairnins sake.
The renaming means nowt, centenary society naming was nay on 40 yrs ago.
The funds made have always gone to the club. Only difference appears to be it goes into the academy.
Been in it since day one, won it twice.
No-one forces anyone to buy. Just like the half time draw. You have to be in it to win it.

The only reason I've never done this before, is because there wasn't the option to pay online.
Now there is, if any friends would like to recommend me, please DM me your deets.
