That's the bit I can't fathom. They consented to be sent flirty texts? How do you consent to be sent a message. Once it's sent you receive it and read it. Very confusing.
I think Jenas statement they (his team/advisor) were just really trying to state that it was adults and nothing illegal as such. Consenting makes no sense unless she has been sacked for a breach of BBC policy. Which raises more questions than it answers.
It would be interesting to find out if she has been sacked too if it was "consenting". In his Sun interview he said the texts are construed as "cheating" which implies it was mutual.
