Went to Orlando August 98 and was as you said- i remember being amazed that the local radio told you the minutes the brief, intense storms would start and stop in the afternoon. I'd imagine there's a lot of flexibility in the weather forecasts due to that. I went to Miami this year end of Feb into March and the weather was amazing, like mid twenties- thirty degrees. Would definitely go at that time of the year again. But it was busy with American tourists for Spring Break
Got to airport, flight is full so we were put on standby. They found two seats opposite end of plane or said we could transfer to another airline that was flying there 5 minutes earlier, €1200 compensation and could sit together. So was a bit of a no brainer.
Weather update as I hate when people post stuff like this and then don’t post what it was actually like! We needn’t have worried! We are sheltering from a massive storm right now but it’s just the expected mid afternoon one. We’ve had a couple of days with no storm at all, one day of mostly full rain where we just wore rain coats and carried on and odd scattered showers where we just queued (inside) for a ride/watched a show and it was done by the time we came back out. It was a bit surreal today at a mini golf course at Disney, blazing sunshine, sweat dripping everywhere and it was completely winter and Christmas themed! (There’s a summer side too but there was a wait for that course so we just did the winter one today). I wouldn’t have minded some snow to be honest.
We're going on our holiday in a few days time. We've hired a cottage in the middle of nowhere in County Durham.
We have to claim so we’ll do it when we get home. I might ask if they’ve overbooked on the way home too
Will did this time but I won on the hotel course a few days ago. It’s our anniversary today so I had to let him win
