Hadn't considered that actually. Just a horrible club to play against and for (I've done both), a bullying culture, those in charge running things for their own personal and families gain rather than the actual betterment of the club. Swallowing up Woolley Cricket Club with no consideration for the history and traditions of that club.

Swallowing up local junior players from "smaller" clubs in the district, by offering false promises that rarely turn out as true - this then kills the future of these other clubs as their best youngsters are lured to Shaw Lane and weakens Junior Cricket in the Barnsley Leagues as competition is immediately weakened.

And that's without the well publicised racism regarding Darfields West Indian player from about 3 years ago - and incidentally the bloke who made the 'Lucky Lucky Man' jibes is still in an influential position at Barnsley.

I'm glad I don't have any dealings with them any more - so yes I'm not a fan!

Sensory Garden apparently destroyed. This one hurts as it was me who applied for funding for it. Men in Sheds supplied alot of interactive panels, and hundreds of hours have been spent by volunteers, disabled adults on a work skills course, and students from Greenacre creating something that children and disabled people could enjoy. I’m absolutely gutted for them.
One way or another we will build it again. :-(

Why are the police and council frightened to death of travellers. We get 3hrs free parking in Tesco’s when we are shopping and they get 3 days or more just to leave a load of mess. But nothing surprises me these days when today they say the zombie knife thugs might get compensation for handing them in,so then they can go a buy a bigger one.My next life will be a travelling, zombie knife. carrying train driver.

They're in a relegation fight, hope the first team go down.

I played against them years ago in the junior age categories (U15/17s) befoe they merged with Woolley and there was a disrespect from them back then. Throwing personal insults out on the cricket field and generally carrying on like tossers, absolutely no need for it. Not a fan myself!
Isn't that Phil Chapman heavily involved with them now and he was one of those who got pulled up for some racist tweets linked to the Azeem Rafiq situation.

Remember when Shepley beat Barnsley in the cup and Jason Booth with sour grapes losing to a village of circa 2k people grassed up Tom Denton for playing to then Chesterfield manager Martin Allen and he nearly lost his job for it.
