I’m led to believe Holly Tandy (of XFactor fame) is the part time content creator that was advertised. She did the Women’s stuff last year. Presents to camera and what not. A JAQ pal. I'd seen her pitch side and was trying to remember where I recognised her from. According to LinkedIn, there is a lad called Lewis who seems to be media. Maybe an intern turned permy. And either one or both of the two who left will presumably be replaced by the other advertised role - Media Executive - on national minimum wage. As others have identified, something does look to have gone off to have seen both experienced media staff (particularly Whitey, who bled BFC long before living the dream with them) leave at the same time. Or maybe just a blatant cost cutting exercise. Looks a real shame based on no real knowledge. But, new board, new CEO and changes do happen. That's life. Let’s hope Holly and whoever else arrives can improve things from a media and marketing perspective. Because right now it’s Sunday league level.
It does make me laugh that there's literally something there, for fans, to voice the concerns and ask questions. Instead of submitting said questions, they just piss and moan about it on Facebook, twitter and on here
And what's worse is the fact that they can't be arsed to get off their backsides and take part themselves but have the gall to call out those that do as more or less lackeys and traitors.
Yep, saw multiple times that they're 'hand picked' by the owners who appear its mental. The crazy thing is, we're 3 league games in, had we won all 3 instead of 1, it'll be a completely different feel on here. The fact just 1 or 2 slow games can cause a meltdown is bizarre
If I was guessing I'd say there were upwards of 40 who applied for posts on the FAB. All who care deeply about the club. Those elected by the 40 + were informed. I'm aware meetings are being set up. Questions (sensible I hope, none of this who's wife is he shagging ****** and who is the next signing.) Need to go forward to put to the club . Hopefully with a response. They can't ignore a collective imo, as many get frustrated at not getting personal replies. Or what's the point. And certainly questions deserve answers not putting to one side. Some have already been asked and answered But appear to have not been publicised . And already out there by word of mouth. The comms at the mo, imo is at the top of the agenda. Hopefully resolved in the very near future. With a new comms team. (Not summat I agree with btw, if it was purely a cost cutting exercise. Experience is the Key, and peanuts, if the case, is not the way forward as they'll find the role will be a short stepping stone for those new employees to move onto better jobs and salaries. Then it's back to square one.) It also appears some may have taken umbridge at one or two of the selections of those on the FAB. . I'm not sure it really matters. So long as those elected take the questions forward and get replies needed. Favourable or unfavourable. If any of the FAB become puppets unwilling to challenge if the answer is not in the fans best interests (alongside the clubs) They get voted off next time.
100% agree with you Hooky. Comms is THE biggest challenge currently. Once we can sort that we will see some much needed momentum from the group.
Right, I’ve listened to it. He’s basically just recycling stuff that he’s heard, as he openly admits. He’s not really an authority because he vlogs. I suppose, if you like a good moan, he’ll resonate with you. I won’t pay those prices quoted for a beer or food at oakwell, so I keep my money in my pocket. As long as people keep paying, they’ll keep charging what they charge, so people need to make a stand by not buying anything. Needs less moaning and more action.
