Linkin Park reunion?

Expected to be announced tomorrow. Rumours than Deryck Whibley from Sum 41 will be their new front man.

Edit: Deryck Whibley has confirmed his announcement isn't that.

 

Not for me. You can’t replace Chester. Would be like trying to reform Nirvana without Kurt.

 

Strong rumours indeed!! This is a reunion I can get behind!!

 

Hope it isn't him, if it was going to happen it would have to be a female vocalist in my opinion.

 

Didn’t realise how bad sum 41 singers his health was, had more back injuries then me!

 

I thought that was the reason they're splitting up to be honest. I'm seeing them in October mainly because they were one of my favourite bands in my teens and I thought it'd be the last opportunity to see them.

Agreed. And I really liked Sum 41.

 

I reckon LP will be doing a world tour but with different singers at different locations, so Derek Whibley will be just 1 of a bunch.

 

Linkin Park are one of my all time favourite bands but I don’t really want this. Would rather them just be left alone now.

 

That would be more palatable.

I still would prefer they leave it where it was, mind.

 

Got to say Linkin Park without Chester is like Queen without Freddie Mercury.

There must be better options than Derek Whibley though! Corey Taylor would get my vote without really thinking about it.

Rather sit and watch a couple of spice heads turn into zombies in Spoogie park than listen to Linkin Park.

 

The best option in my opinion would be Bonnie Fraser of Stand Atlantic (great pop punk band similar to Paramore)

 

I did think it'd be a bit of a strange fit to be honest.

 

I saw somewhere that it also coincides with a countdown for the lineup for Rock Am Ring next year.

 

And here we are quite like her, she is good

 

I think it'll be fun, but is it really Linkin Park?

I fully get that they need to pay their mortgages and whatnot, but just form a new band. Writing songs is supposed to be your job - just do more of it.
