Our keeper time wasted alot. Our outfield players did too with free kicks and throw ins. We scored a goal. There was a drop ball. There was lots of subs. Physios on. Then stuff happened within the 8 minutes given to add to that.
Just back home in Headingley. Was sat in East Lower with my brother & my nephew. Really good performance, although we rode our luck a little towards the end. Clean sheet & Watters on the scoresheet. Enjoyed that one!
Aww I liked Appo Halme lol, especially when we threw him up front late on in matches. And it worked sometimes, he got a few late equalizing goals.
I'm all for adding more stoppage time if keepers are pratting about time wasting. But when it means over 10 minutes and more added on, it shows we've got to take this more seriously with bookings!. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/live/c5y3q1kxnggt
Went tonight and just a brief post to say how much I enjoyed it. All of our players put in a shift, special mentions for Watters who worked hard all game and Cotter who looked our most dangerous attacker, and well done Reds supporters for a creating a better atmosphere with only 6,000 in the League Cup than I've heard in any recent league games I've been to. First win at Oakwell in 10 (I think) and first clean sheet in 18 to boot. Really hope we can take some confidence from this into the league now.
Here's highlights of the game with 'biased' Blunts commentary. And it was nice to see respect shown to Sven, at kick off.
Cut out the bit that a “blade” started chanting during the minute silence. Although that was about as much noise as they made all night.
