Or perhaps he read this bulletin board and thought no chance I’m reading this negative rubbish for the next few years
No surprise with some reactions on here and other football outlets but lets face the facts. Loan deal agreed with both clubs.Fee agreed to buy him after loan deal £600k.Terms agreed with player. Player flown in for medical which he passes.Player then says he wants to go home for personal family reasons.Football isn't a slave trade and if thats his choice so be it. I honestly can't see what the club have done wrong in there pursuit of this guy. This deal will have been months in the making so its BFC i feel sorry for ,not the player or even the supporters. One thing I know preparations will be well under way on another target.
Highly doubt someone flies in with the intention of sacking it off straight away due to family reasons, that’s something that will have gone through his head way before the fight across. Reckon they’ve made a bad first impression personally, wouldn’t be the first nor will it be the last….
What is it with you, why do you constantly put a negative spin on all things BFC??. If they are such a bad club then do me a favour and go support someone else
Reckon they took him to the Corner Pin and Chambers for the media shoot. Enough to make anyone run for the door.
Can't fault the lad or the club. It's possible to get home sick and back out in the last minute. Back in 2012 I accepted a role at the Medical Records Department at Barnsley Hospital. I ended up turning the job down in the end just because it didn't feel right. Best thing I ever did.
If it’s not right it’s not right. I turned a job down working nights years ago on double the money because Wife(then girlfriend)couldn’t handle idea of me working nights and her being in our new house alone.
Maybe the club or someone at the club didn’t like the look of him. Maybe his attitude and demeanour weren’t what’s required. Maybe he isn’t a ‘run through brick walls’ kind of player - his playing history and tenure looks a bit sketchy to say the least.
Lad comes over with missus, while he's having conditioning training before going to Manchester and has a look around surrounding area. She reports back to him, "if you think I'm slumming it here you can think again".Packs bags and back to Manchester airport sithi.
If he’s actually boarded a plane to come here, gone thru bleep tests etc then something bigger than “personal reasons” is at play. There’s been a hiccup late on, probably in regards to things the club control. There’s not a chance he’s come here and gone through all that for him to just say “erm the missus and kids aren’t too pleased”. he’d have never even boarded the plane had there been even a slither of doubt. Not a chance.
Whatever the reason this lad hasn't signed is irrelevant, he's not going to be our player, but it does beggar belief that the owners haven't acted with a bit more haste knowing Cole, McAttee etc were off well before the window opened, I suspect that we'll end up with a couple of loans from clubs where the players are deemed too young and/or well down the pecking order, it might work out or it may not, it's just not ideal to be in this situation, there is the possibility of course that Watters and Cosgrove will prove the doubters wrong. We live in hope.
Not really. It's quite possible the club were trying to offload him, he wasn't overly keen but came anyway, then changed his mind at the last minute. Sounds like we've dodged a bullet because if his heart wasn't really in it then it would have been a waste of time and money.
There's also the possibility that one or both of Watters and Cosgrove will have an injury at some point during the season due to having to play every game and we'll be fuucked right up the arse
