Or they're waiting for clubs to start shitting it and pay him more... it seems to be working so far haha
As an Irish fan I'd love Aaron to make it, but he's had so many chances at this stage. Has all the talent, but the application and attitude just doesn't seem to be right.
Yes, that's why I wish incentive based contracts were more common. Yes they get appearance fees and goal fees etc, but they still get a huge wage regardless. If they had a lower wage with those incentives it'd be fine
I'll solve our striking problem for free and I'm guessing you would too. So playing Devil's advocate whys it so hard to get someone to run their blood to water and score some goals?
Exactly, mate. In rare cases, supposedly Ben White's, he has absolutely 0 interest in football at all, in fact some Arsenal fans say he hates it, but yet he still runs his blood to water for Arsenal, and has been one of, if not the, best right backs in the prem. Some people are just blessed with natural talent, but burdened with a shocking attitude. People think Cole and Kane downed tools last season, I don't think they did, I think they were just off form and low on confidence, but there's certainly are players who do down tools, Frimpong for one. They're in such a privileged position where not only millions, but billions of people would love to be in their spot.
Great reply. That's why I've loads of time for Marsh and try my best not to get dragged back down about the club. I vent and slag owners off (my stance will hopefully change on that). I'm fickle but I want best for everyone. Cheers mate.
Yeah I would love for Marsh to smash it, mate. For obvious reasons. People slag him off all the time (hence why I got a little annoyed last week when people were making threads again about him despite playing 5 minutes of the match), but nobody can question his effort, determination , work rate, whatever you wanna call it mate. He works his nads off. He's old enough to accept criticism now, but yet again a lot of fans do it non-stop or take it well over the top. It's such a shame (so far) about our forward options because I think this squad is forming nicely and it's just up top letting us down. I'm still quietly hoping Jalo has a proper breakthrough season too mate
Phillips, Cosgrove and Watters look to be linking up mate. Anyone we did sign needs to earn their place and that's why I won't go mental. We're signing someone for bench. No question Watters, Cosgrove and Phillips are in form. If there wasn't a serious injury that's the line up every week Maybe I'm being too circumspect lol
Having played at a good semi professional level, occasionally against professional teams, I can tell you that the pace is a game is much faster than it appears in the stands. Finding someone who can constantly sprint and close down is difficult.
