Really wanted to see Death Cab/The Postal Service, absolutely love both those bands and Transatlanticism is one of my favourite albums by any band, but I just didn't fancy an outdoor show and so decided against London Seen Death Cab a few times before but can't imagine I'll get the chance to see The Postal Service now
Yeah, I made the same call about the festival in London on a Sunday, also being based in your neck of the woods, but then thought sod it, I'll pop up to Glasgow instead. It was Death Cab I was going for, mainly, although I've seen them once before. I'm not that into The Postal Service but the crowd went mad for them. Teenage Fanclub only had half an hour but they had some fun with that.
Anyone that misses out on tickets tomorrow, firstly commiserations, but secondly and most importantly please use the £150 you'd set aside to go and see smaller bands at independent venues, they're the ones that really need your financial backing at the moment.
How were Death Cab? I'm not as in to them since Chris Walla left but they have some incredible albums over the years
I thought they were really good. The sound was excellent and I quite like these album performances where you pretty much know what you're going to get.
Did they do much of an encore? I'd love a Photo Album full album set, or Plans in fairness. Both superb
None. The Postal Service were last up so we got a couple more songs from them but that was it. Well it'll be the turn of Plans to be 20 next year. I'd definitely be up for that.
Do the kinda thing Ed Sheeran does to stop touts with each ticket having the name on of the person using it so they have no choice than to go and can't sell it on and also needing photo ID that matches your identity with the name on the ticket. https://twitter.com/oasis/status/1829600868183785917
Arctic Monkeys do something similar. They don’t really care the tickets will end up with anyone happy to pay above and beyond etc.
The Gallagher bros are so committed to making music together again they have opened a joint bank account. Don’t know what the other Oasis band members will do if at all they exist.
I got a pre sale code and managed to get 4 tickets for Murrayfield. Each venue and date had separate order queues. I was on bang on 7pm and was 8400 in the queue for Murrayfield on the Saturday. If all folk went for 4 tickets that’s about 34,000 tickets gone for a 70,000 venue. Not sure how many will be left for the general sale but I would bank on more dates being added.
Site just keeps crashing. Not even been able to get into queue for any of the tickets released at 9am. Did get into queue for Dublin dates but still over 150k people ahead of me in that queue so that's not happening either
