Mark my words… Options galore and the management appears to have the competence required to get the best out of them. I’m not normally a natural optimist but does anyone have the same feeling?
Love your optimism, and hope beyond hope that you’re right, but I’ll wait a little longer before forecasting where we’ll finish.
I think we have a lot stronger squad than last season and a better coaching team but I think it's a stronger league. My advice wait till Christmas if it all clicks we won't be far away.
Spot on. We need to ditch the saving face and adopt a swagger. We've got a big head in charge and it will show .
Clarke's a breath of fresh air and has talked about promotion since he arrived and I don't see any reason why we won't be up there.
Some strong sides about this season. Brum, Wrexham, Huddersfield, Bolton, Charlton and Rotherham to name just a few. If we make the top 6 we’ll have done very well.
Management's the key for me, I think Clarke's more desperate to get to the championship than most of us fans, if we don't do it it won't be for the lack of trying.
I’m probably in the happy clapper camp so will always generally be optimistic and I’m feeling no different right now. That first half today was brilliant. Right from the off (it was 1 minute when Watters hit the post wasn’t it?) we pressed them relentlessly and moved the ball with pace. Still very early days but on that side today we potentially have Cosgrove, Humphrys, Keillor-Dunn, Jalo and Nwakali all to come in and who all could bring some different to the table. Coaching team have made a decent start too I think. Top 6 minimum. Top 2? We’ll have to wait and see a bit.
Err no not yet, as absolutely nothing is clear yet after just 4 games. I'm not normally a natural optimist either, of course!. And we've been down that road before haven't we, where its slapped us in the face when the expectations rise. But I do agree with the reasons to be feeling more positive after that match today.
Based on tactics and substitutions in the first two games I'd have said no chance. But the performance in the last 2 is like a different side. And that's before the new signings have even kicked a ball. Plenty to be optimistic about for sure. But it's early days
If all the teams in this league were like Crawley then yes. Somehow I think there will be far tougher tasks ahead 8th to 10th is more realistic imho.
They're not going down. Early days but I suspect already Clarke is going to get more out of the team than Collins did. Am cautiously optimistic at the moment based on very few days and the transfer window. I think the board might be learning
