The league cup is realistically their only chance of silverware this season. Be amazed if they don’t play their first team and therefore I think their wide players could rip us a new one.
Put all 11 of our players inside our own six yard box for the whole 90 minutes as it doesn't matter how good you are, you can't kick ball through a human. Sneak a win on penalties. It's easy this cup shock managerial lark
I'd be stating publicly that I was playing the kids & reserves again to give them a chance for revenge from the trophy match. Bluff them into putting out the 21s again. Then on the day play our first team
I would tell the lads to shoot at every opportunity, that keeper is terrible, owt from 25 yards take a punt
Perfect time to meet them. It’s a free hit for us. No pressure on us whatsoever. No surprise if they beat us but take the game to them and hopefully rattle them. Then maybe we can spring a surprise. Miracles do happen.
As much as I enjoyed the Crawley win let's not get too carried away the talent man u have at there disposal is scary. I hope we go there and do ourselves justice give it a right go to win would be amazing.
Nobody gave us a chance at Liverpool or against Chelsea and we did them both. These things do happen, and we have done Man united before as well.
Obviously they’re massive favourites but out of the big clubs you want either Man Utd or Chelsea as they can turn up & be absolutely terrible at times where as if you got Man City, Arsenal or Liverpool it is literally a day out without a glimmer of hope.
Got a better chance of winning the fizzy pop cup as when teams in Europe who have a chance of winning European cups progress they will rest players to concentrate on the league and Europe.
Man City or Arsenal, fair enough. We are however currently unbeaten at Anfield since the 1950s including several games you'd have expected us to be beaten handsomely (not so much at Oakwell though where we always lose)
