Fifty Oasis songs!!? I could probably name about ten. Including my favourite, Whatever, which is just the biggest Beatles rip off even they managed to come up with. Anyway, let’s agree to disagree.

They all still have houses in Athens GA, that's right. Did the REM trail for my 40th a few years ago, with one of their friends from back in the day as our guide. Absolutely brilliant stuff.

The Jam happened, sort of, went to Albert Hall to watch Paul Weller who was doing a residency for a week, picked the night of his 50th birthday. Played Start, Going Underground and the Butterfly Collector. They used Oasis drummer as apparently Weller and Buckler will never speak but Foxton and Weller buried the hatchet

Regarding money, I read somewhere that REM shared the money equally regardless of how much or how little the contribution, including writing and air play etc. Apparently they never had a fall out.

i can listen to any oasis album
Including the B sides one masterplan.

End of day there's a whole generation of folk desperate to see oasis., thousands if not millions, and it's not just for their first 2 Albums. Like I said I like some REM somgs but not enough to want to go see them. if they were to reform it would be a queue of 40,50 and 60 year olds with a sprinkle of young uns.

This discussion is basically the same as you saying you like the colour blue and someone else saying no red is better. It is totally pointless. Music is subjective.

Obviously music is very subjective, but one thing I'd say is that if you ask 100 people what their favourite Oasis album is, the answers would be extremely skewed towards Definitely Maybe, What's the Story... and possibly The Masterplan. I doubt many of the others would feature in more than 5% of answers. Ask the same question about REM, and all 15 of their albums would feature. Some more than others, but I can guarantee that you'd see every one of their albums chosen as someone's favourite. I genuinely can't think of a single other band who produced music of such a consistently high standard for so long.

Despite being the right age (Brit-Pop dropped in my early to mid teens) I never really got into it. Much preferred all the post-grunge stuff until Nu Metal landed!

That being said I can easily name 20-30 Oasis songs, although one of my favourites is Married With Children which totally rips off the chord sequence from Lithium by Nirvana, who probably nicked it off someone else first.

What I would say is that in the same way I prefer Beatles songs written by George Harrison, I definitely prefer Oasis songs where Noel has had the biggest influence on them.

I couldn’t care less that they’ve reformed though.

I'd argue Sonic Youth were as consistent over their career as REM - but nowhere near as popular.
