Air ambulance just flown over Royston towards Leeds so fingers crossed that whatever happens isn’t fatal. Scary times…
Based on what I've seen, it's horrifying. Video shows where the attacker goes, so I've no doubt he's been caught very quickly. As for the victim, I'd be absolutely stunned if he's even left the scene with any sign of life. Sad sad world we currently live in. "Life sentence" pending.

The amount of people carrying and prepared to use knives is frightening. Gangland disputes with drugs being in many cases the underlying cause. Sad news
Anybody carrying a knife does so intending to use it, self defence can’t be used as justification. No idea how but it really does need clamping down on, increased sentences maybe ? It certainly put a stop to the rioting! I’ve seen the video and the victim looks to have been caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. RIP 41 is no age, not that age comes into it whatsoever.
The media reports now seem to have the victim as 61, not that it makes a difference. Obviously don’t know how it came about, but just like shootings happen in America where everyone carries guns, stabbing will happen here if everyone is carrying a knife. Don’t really know the area these days, but it’s worrying that knife crime has migrated to the suburbs of town.
I agree mate, but we’re very privileged. We don’t live a life where that goes on. Some people are literally born into poverty and brutality, where this way of life is the only thing they’ve ever known. I reckon it’s near impossible for us to imagine what it must be like.
Yep even carrying a knife in public should be a mandatory jail sentence. That would clamp down on it but prisons are full so they won't do that.
I think most of the would be rioters, however daft they are/were have some form of brains but choose not to engage if, knife carriers are total wastes of space where prison is a mere blip in there idiotic lives……sadly I don’t think immediate prison sentences would curb much knife crime tbh
Chefs, gardeners, electricians and other trades regularly carry knives as part of their work. Carrying a knife is not necessarily an indication of an intent to use it for something illegal.
How many people do you think have been given a jail sentence for possession of a knife? I'd hazard a guess not many. Given them a 6 month mandatory sentence for it.
