I really don't understand this stance at all. The coach can say what he likes, and he does. His prerogative. Surely it's not remotely entitled to merely ask a question, is it? And pleasantly debate the benefits and negatives?

I mean we could be equally and oppositely absurd and get rid of the matchday programme, match day announcer, ban press conferences, stop feeding the media info... Maybe remove numbers and names on shirts while we're at it. Hey, why not stop fans going to the ground... I mean how entitled are you to actually want to watch a game.... Just wait til the club tell you the result.... It not, hey ho.

But surely asking if a player is fit or not and a rough guideline to their return... days/weeks/months is just part and parcel of fan discussion going on up and down the country at every football club in the land, no?

Takes me back to the days when we didn’t know what the team until the last minute, and the team
listed on the back of the programme was often subject to change. Seems a century ago but it’s what we were used to and we didn’t stress over not knowing everything did we?

Lol, no. I remember going down to see us play Bristol City once. In the days Steve Agnew was in the team. Arrived at the ground to see the team selection which was virtually lacking any attacking ability and which screamed a defeat with us getting nil and thinking I probably wouldn't have come if I'd known that was the line up.
    We lost 1-0.
    Happy days.

We were laughing about our past away from on our way back on Saturday. Away wins seemed as rare as hens teeth back in the day, and a few hundred hardy souls would often see the reds routinely beaten and offering little resistance.

Speaking of Bristol City, I saw us lose 1-0 there to an indirect free kick in our box. We had every player stood on the goal line and he scored off the post.

We loved going to the different grounds, but it was flipping grim at times ;)

DC is a highly experienced manager, with 600 odd games under his belt. Real games of real football, not FIFA or whatever.
If he finds it beneficial to keep details of player availabilty close to his chest, who are we to question that?
Let the man do his job, his way.
