Was put onto this series by a Lincoln supporting mate, but it's relevant to every football fan in the country. Compelling listening. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0jglj2q?partner=uk.co.bbc&origin=share-mobile
That's a good series tbf. The American who funded the Caribbean million pound match was crackers, the Tour De France & F1 story good too. Don King not so much.
I listened to the first series about Shergar which, bizarrely, was narrated by Vanilla Ice. It was hard to take seriously when every now and then, 'ice' would chime in with "ride the horse, ride the horse, ride the pony". Think that put me off.
It was a strange choice of person as a voice over. It's as though he was paid for a selection of sound clips, rather than him being the narrator so to speak. He does occasionally 'narrate' though he's mainly used to lower the tone, and at times, it just feels a bit distasteful. That was my feelings from it anyway.
