    What we make of Lee Carsley not singing the national anthem? I don't see why it's an issue now. Surely someone like Jeff Powell was aware he's never done it.

    I think a more pertinent point is lee Carsley being the England manager at all. Just why?

    Sven and Capello didn't sing it either. I know it's a bit different as he was born in England, but his nationality is Irish.

    Personally I don't care who sings it or doesn't. I can understand why he's chosen he won't.

    Exactly, not only are the lyrics outdated but the tune is awful and downbeat. I’ve said it before with all the talented musicians/poets etc in this country I’m sure they could come up with something more appropriate and with an upbeat tune
