MOM for me today. Some of their challenges on him today were very questionable and yet not one booking for them.

Big man little man worked well with Cosgrove.

The best debut I've seen for us for a while.

As usual, I disagree on both counts.

His link up play was as good as any number 9 we've had for years.

Tangled his own legs with their lads for the penalty. Knew exactly what he was doing. Took the ref an age, but he made the right decision.

Whilst we're light on strikers, we aren't short of goals or players who can create. But with DKD in the side, we've gone up another level.

I thought we tried to play some lovely football today, and also mixed it up with some longer stuff to switch play. I say ‘tried’ because it didn’t always come off. If it had, we’d have won much more comfortably.

We pulled Bristol all over in the first half, it was a joy to watch, as was DKD running in behind and scoring. More of the same please!

    DKD was a great debut.
Craig was good, Cotter OK and Connell good apart from his final pass.
Cozzy my MOM due to the shift he put in and the fact he now looks at the ball when jumping instead of the man. Paying dividends.

Best thing about him for me was he made Cosgrove look better by looking up before playing the ball into him in an offside position.
4 or 5 times he was on the ball and he held on to it rather than make a team mate offside with an early ball.

mate, I think you might have to accept you’re wrong on this one.

there’s a few poor games to choose from the Cosgrove back catalogue….this most definitely wasn’t one of them. Especially 2nd half, he was excellent.

I thought Earl played well, probably the best I’ve seen him play since his debut for us.

Thought DKD was great for the goal and then a bit in and out of the rest of the game.

Barnsley v Bristol Rovers bud, I don’t mind Cosgrove as a rule but today I thought as a lone striker he was really poor, hold up play, getting knocked all over, being constantly offside even in build ups, poor at heading in fact beaten in just about every aerial battle.
