It's funny because i saw it the other way. I think generally he's absolutely toss but i thought he was good today, won his fair share and didn't concede his usual 8732 free kicks.
A reckon 99% of folk on here that saw game today will think you are so wrong with your comments, and more so they will realise you know sweet f.a. about football…. you are out of your depth commenting on football mate sorry
I agree about Craig. He really showed his Tottenham pedigree.Good interceptions, excellent passing and an all-round classy display. I am rather less enthusiastic about Cosgrove's performance.
All the time we were reportedly interested in him, I was thinking that, in view of his 22 goals and 10 assists last season, surely some Championship clubs would be bidding a lot more for him than we were. I was getting rather frustrated at the club's haggling over an amount of money which, in today's football market, seemed tiny.
You've got to have watched the game on mushies, l once did it in Amsterdam, Holland v England - Vassell scored a volley - it looked like he did a somersault
I must have been preoccupied today but I thought Cosgrove had a decent game - hold up play definitely improving and some great flick ons. Him and DKD have great potential as a pairing and with Philips alongside we have some decent fire power for a change. Craig had a great game along with Connell - wish Luca would occasionally pick out simple pass rather than looking for yhe Hollywood pass - few times he could have played the simple wide pass. Luca definitely embraced the captain's role
The problem is people need to erase the version of Sam cosgrove 2023-2024 season out of their head…he was the wrong signing for Collins’ boring system
I said at half time Cosgroves best 45 minutes. Won most challenges without fouling. Second half reverted to type. Plenty of fouls. But encouraging to see the improvement. My man of the match. Cotter. Good to see Benson playing as well as we know he can. Another great sign of a team willing to work their socks off for one another. First 20/30 minutes were a joy to watch. The error for their goal knocked us off our stride. But our 2 goals were quality. The lead up and finishes.
Nah, he was the right signing, Collins actually said he was there so we had the option of being a bit more direct. Just didn’t work out for him for the most part.
I just sat and watched him today and for a period let the game carry on, his vision and reading of the game is something I haven't seen in a long long time from a Barnsley player, massive signing for us who will score and create bags full.
