What does he have to do to get a start? Every time he has come on he has impressed me For me he would start next week instead of Pines. Move Earl back to CB and play Lofthouse at LB.
Thought Earl and especially Cotter did well today, I wanted Lofthouse to start but since Earl has moved to LWB he's been a lot better. It's clear Clarke sees something and I have no reason not to support it at the minute!
He might become a victim of his own success. Our very own super sub? Pigeon holed as an ‘impact player’? Either way Clarke is getting a tune out of him the way he is using him at the minute so can’t complain. But yes he certainly deserves a start. I agree with the OP think Earl in a 3 and Kyran in the left. Although I would be more inclined to drop MDG, whilst accepting Pines had a bad day at the office today.
Carry on doing what’s he is doing but work hard on end product and decision making and the opportunities will come.
Both him & Yoganathan are good enough to start games, but we have a strong squad in midfield, so as long as he's getting game time at the moment & gaining experience, than he will keep progressing & in the long run he'll be a starter.
I've no idea why he was out on loan last season . Bags of talent. So glad he is making it on to the pitch with the first team.
A super sub, with the added bonus that he is very much a utility option from the bench as he can play in various positions.
Players often come on in leaps and bounds at that age. Assuming it was decided that the best thing for his development would be a loan spell where he'd be getting regular men's football at a lower level, rather than being dipped in and out of our side in League 1, where he'd be under considerable pressure to perform.
