I don't think it helps with price, kick-off time and transport links. That with it being on Main Event too. I'd have liked to go but getting back then up for work the next morning is difficult from Pontefract. As it stands a few jars in town and home for bed.
No I dont think we will. Pretty horrible pricing plus people are absolute fannies 'orrr it's a bit of a late night/I dont know where to park/my kid has school'. Imagine if we win and you chose not to go, not because you can't afford it but because your kid might be a bit tired in Geography the next day.
I reckon we'll be there or thereabouts. I know season ticket holders who have held off getting a ticket as they want to get them with non season ticket holders. I actually think a game like this attracts a lot of casual fans too. Probably more so than say, Barnsley vs Bristol Rovers at Oakwell.
Shame we didnt get 10k then. Joking aside. I reckon we will be lucky to shift 5/6k based on those latest figures. Hope you are right though.
Exactly. My 10 year old can't wait to go. Win or lose he'll remember this game forever, he won't remember being tired on Wednesday morning.
I still haven’t got mine, or my lads. I’ve held off as a few of my mates are taking their young ens but there young lads don’t have season tickets.
I know a few people who were waiting for the blocks behind the goal to be opened up as they didn’t want to be in the usual away section corner. Our seats are in E332 having waited for the General Sale. I’ll be surprised if we do less than 5k in spite of the awful pricing.
I could have bought one first thing Friday morning, but my wife wants to go. So just bought them this morning. I think there'll be many more people like me as well. I'm sure we'll get close to 7k
Bolton fans only being charged £20 adult tickets at Arsenal ffs. Shows how much United are taking the mickey.
Yep, was looking to do a train journey but heading back to Fev doesn’t really add up due to connections and times etc. On a coach though so will just have to blag one of lads for a lift back from Barnsley. Or an Uber, but an Uber home from the Simpson fight cos 67 quid from tarn to fev. Robbery.
Yeah true, but what I think is a bonus is that 40% of the gate goes to the club. It feels less heavy when I think £21 will go to BFC.
Won’t be that much. It’s split after ‘reasonable expenses’ for holding the match - ie electric, stewarding, other staffing, policing - have been deducted. I reckon we’ll do well to clear £10 a ticket per club. Still should be £750k in the coffers though - assuming it’s a 75k sellout (it isn’t forced to be) - plus sky money
There you go, more accurate numbers. Still a positive definitely. 3/4 of a mil is a good income for us.
The 5k mark would be decent at 42 a ticket imo. For me and 2 young ens it will be over 100 quid for a Tuesday night when I cater in transport tickets food etc. If it was a Saturday I think we would have sold 9k
Not a bad effort so far. Think we should top 5k which will be decent for midweek. Remember when we took 16k to Liverpool…..midweek didn’t matter a lot then? Plus around 8k to Enfield (Spurs). How times have changed since.
