    Would be interesting to know how many of Moncurs total appearances were starts. His 3 yrs with us were the longest spell he had at any club, apart from West Ham, who loaned him out.

    I always think of him as being decent off the bench but mostly uninspiring. Maybe he’s struggled with fitness all his career?

    Maybe his gods just punishing him for being a shithouse towards fans? ;)

    I'm not normally one to sneer at former players. At the end of the day, it's only football. But Moncur was one I just couldn't warm to personally. Partly down to the way he forced a loan move as soon as he'd signed for us, partly down to the way he played when he was given a chance, and partly down to the smarmy way he celebrated Luton finishing above us, rather than their league title, after he left.

    I think I'm just disappointed because he was the first player I said we should sign, and we actually did.
