Just finished watching over here in the States. Astonishing TV. Utterly staggering that people over here are still voting for the insane, incoherent, brain dead idiot of a human being that he is........and yet, our former "prime minister" is a massive fan. This world is beyond belief.
Whenever Johnson comes out as a massive fan of anything, look for the money. That’s all he’s interested in. The grift. Kickbacks and freebies from Trump. As for Putin and Johnson’s connections with Russia, don’t get me started.
Have to agree about US citizens. After last night’s disastrous display where Harris only had to throw lumps of red meat on the floor to set him off slavering, he’s totally unfit for the job of POTUS. Him with the nuclear codes?
I’m just watching it now, wow just wow, how the hell can he still be in running, Shes wiping the floor with him.
Trump has several advantages: - 1: for some reason, lots of the religious right support him and convince their congregation do to despite him being nearer the second coming of Damien than Jesus. Whether this is because they think he is malleable to their will and will bring about an authoritarian Christofascist leadership that will ban abortions and remove the rights from women and those whose skin colour isn't gammon like they want. 2: Lots of the media support him - despite his threats to lock up journalists that criticise him - because he sells papers. 3: Lots of billionaires support him - because he'll save them some tax. 4: A number of his high-profile supporters have been funded by Russia to spread discontent and get him into power so Putin can have Ukraine. 5: Many Americans are very, very uneducated. I mean plenty of his supporters believe that doctors are performing abortion after birth, that schools are performing sex-change operations, and that reading a book makes you gay.
You’ve just called Americans uneducated because they voted for trump, yet we’ve just named Kier Starmer as our new prime minister. We are hardly in any position to call anyone uneducated.
Daniel, There's absolutely no comparison between Trump and Starmer. Trump and Farage would be more comparable for the absolute ill informed bile that comes out of their mouth but i don't think that would fit your rhetoric.
Trump and Johnson are probably the most alike. Both bluster, gish-gallop, lie and generally ignore facts to try and get their point across. And people like them.
I think it's wrong to pigeonhole Trump supporters as being slack-jawed Yokels. Irrespective of Trump, who he is and how he behaves, there are a lot of Americans who are very wary of the Democrats and their bent towards illegal immigration, their willingness to impose censorship and their willingness to use the courts for their own agenda. Not to mention the fairly obvious case that Kamala Harris is just as much of a buffoon as Trump is, just in a different way. *I AM NOT A TRUMP SUPPORTER*
