Exactly right. The 'big' clubs over here will keep increasing because they get away with it. Big clubs don't want season ticket holders, they want different people there every time. Ticket money, drinks, food, merchandise etc every match day. They couldn't care less about the fans.

Bit of a myth that all Bayern tickets are cheap. Only a small section of the stadium offers low prices and the rest of it is pretty much in line with most Premier League clubs (about £50-£70 a game)

I'm not making excuses for ticket prices, but €2m extra to Bayern doesn't make much of a difference. At our level, it's a significant difference, and changes the financial outlook of the club dramatically.

I don't disagree that tickets could be cheaper, but if you look at one of the biggest clubs in the world and say, 'see, it works for them', you're not looking at the entire picture.

They also make up for it with food and drinks which is quite expensive compared to other grounds in Germany.

I've had a Frankfurter from Frankfurt and also a Hamburger from Hamburg. (True)
No idea if there's a town called Beefburg anywhere.

I think German football at the top level has got it right. We've gone badly wrong. The Premier League no longer interests me at all TBH. I know it's made loads of money, only to pay pretty much all of it over to overpaid prima donnas & their agents, while Sky continue to cash in & a few others.

Good luck to anyone who wants to pay silly ticket prices for boring, predictable games, or see Oasis ...
