Do you know what pubs or bars away/Barnsley supporters will likely to go to? Or what area in Manchester is likely to be a good spot before the match? Any help appreciated. Thank you
https://footballgroundguide.com/leagues/england/premier-league/old-trafford-manchester-united.html Salford Quays a mile from the ground for away fans according to that.
Had best pint of John Smiths I've ever tasted at a pub there. Think it might have been a Yates'. College Engineering trip in 2002.
Must feel nice when you can tell people what they don’t enjoy when they have actually enjoyed it. I got the same when I mentioned Carling Lager, If you don’t like/rate it, fair enough don’t buy/drink it, but if someone else enjoys it then what’s it matter to you?
Didn’t mind Magnet, but Smooth was what I transitioned to from lager and I view it much like Nescafé coffee, mass produced tasteless pish.
I wasn’t on about your opinion of the drink, I was referring to why you seem to dislike it on other people’s behalf when they’ve said they enjoy it. Also, I didn’t offer an opinion about Carling, I was on about the comments I got just for mentioning it. I’m not talking about recommendations here, but I don’t give a fek if others dislike what I’m drinking if I like it that’s all that matters. BTW, although I drink mainly lager, I do enjoy some craft beers, and IPAs. I do like Sharps Atlantic Coast IPA.
Yeah Magnet was decent. The late father in law used to say that Smooth wasn’t fit to ‘wesh thi wellies in’
You're too young to have tried the John Smiths in the old football club then SD. Believe me, it was THE finest pint of JS anywhere ever. Awesome doesn't describe it!
I like Marston's Pedigree. Also Spitfire, Bishop's Finger and Theakston's. Black Sheep isn't bad either. You pay more for the bottles but it's cheaper suppin' ale.
Getting a train in from Stockport and then a tram up to the ground. Will probably stay in the city centre for food drinks, possibly around Oxford Rd - although I’m told that there are good meal deals to be had in the ground. Pint at around £3:50. Pie, Pint, crisps chocolate bar around £9:50
some lovely pubs nice friendly people at moss side, cant remember names of them though for some reason I was always looking behind me.
