    Not giving him a proper contract was the most short sighted thing the clubs ever done. Just look at Forest.

    He left Notts Forest in January 23. Take your point though but think he must have fallen out with Conway etc.

    It was Murphy I believe who put the present directors in the picture about Conway and when his tenure as chairman was coming to an end. And highlighted the takeover issue maybe.

    Except that isn't true. It's on record what actually happened

    From the EFLs investigation into the club

    "On 2 January 2022, an Undisclosed Shareholder (Mr Samuelson) sent an email to Mr Conway, copying in the other Undisclosed Shareholders and Mr Lee, formally requesting that Mr Conway “transfer and register our shares imediately”. Mr Samuelson subsequently forwarded this email to Mr Zuk on 10 January 2022, and Mr Zuk forwarded the email to the League on 11 January 2022, requesting advice on any steps the Club needed to take in respect of the issue. This was the first occasion on which the League became aware of the existence of the Undisclosed Shareholders. It is the Club’s position that this was the first occasion on which members of the board of BICL and the Club itself, save for Messrs Conway
    and Lee and Ms Hung, became aware of the existence of the INA and the Undisclosed Shareholders. "


    And


    "It is common ground that apart from Mr Conway and Mr Lee, together with Ms Hung who was also a signatory to the INA, no other directors of the Club were aware of the INA prior to the League being informed in 2022. By January 2022 the Undisclosed Shareholders wanted to have the shares to which they were beneficially entitled under the INA to be registered in their name, to be vested with legal title to those shares. The Undisclosed Shareholders wrote to the Club and the Club immediately raised the matter with the League."


    Nothing to do with Dane Murphy making a comment and everything to do with Mr Samuelson formally emailing the club. It's very clear that the club have claimed during the EFL investigation that the first time they discovered the existence of the other shareholders was as a direct result of this email to Rob Zuk.

    None of that proves or disproves if Murphy told Nareev, it just explains how the EFL were made aware.

    He was given a 2 year contract - which was in-line with his work visa from the USA.

    He had a proper contract - just never renewed.

    Which let’s face it - suited both parties by the end.

    I always thought he did well tbf.

    It specifically says that no directors of the club were aware until the email was recievedmfrom Mr Samuelson and the EFL were informed.

    Had Murphy informed Nareev then he would have been aware
