I think the problem is that there have been agreed-upon terms of reference and processes that everyone has signed up for and agreed that communication will be via the official channels. It is early days for this, so hopefully, these teething issues can be sorted quickly, and communication can be improved and be effective. I take your point, though, completely.
The only person on here that I know on the board is Paul. There are issues regarding communication from those I'm aware of. Only 2 on a personal level plus Paul. And the club are left in no doubt of their feelings. Eg The disabled rep. Is pushing ideas forward to try get things improved. It's in its infancy still. But I agree it needs some output from the first meeting if only to state what was brought up even if not actioned.
Id like to echo Gally's posts above. When the FAB was announced it seemed to be well received. I'm disappointed we've not taken advantage of that momentum. The absolutely most important thing we need to sort out is Comms. This has been at the top of my list since our inception and Jay, you're right, we should have pushed the Club harder on this. Apologies to all. The people in the group are all well intentioned and very motivated to try and make positive change. A little patience is required as its only our second meeting next week but we must crack the Comms issue to show that we are actually getting issues tabled with the Club. As an additional point I've had some great suggestions on here from people through, DM, I'll be taking them along on Wednesday. There is a determined mindset in the group. Trust us on that.
You may have an advantage of knowing who I am. One thing that needs putting out asap. Is the Horsham issue. If it's true folk are being recompensed. Why has it not been put out. But already apparantly actioned. (I may have read somewhere, Someone on here had been paid out. Or heard on the grapevine so not 100%.) Crazy if so. 1 irate fan got hold of the wrong end of the stick due to miscommunication to the box office staff. Who should not be imo questioned on such issues. The club need to deal with that. Arse about face if true.
100% agree Hooky. Will make sure it's covered on Wednesday, under the issue of Comms. In particular, under the specific point of "if we have positive news to share, then share it".
I sent a DM on twitter to the FAB because I did not know who to contact direct (again who do we contact for different issues) no reply back yet and this was at end of august, what is the point of a SM account when its not monitored???
I'm sorry. I just replied to you with more details, but it is something that was raised at the previous meeting, and the club is acting on it.
Totally agree, the communication from the club has not been good, and rest assured this will be hammered home at the next meeting. I'm a member of the Fans' Advisory Board, and happy to receive any comments, feedback and criticism. My specific role is to represent diversity and community issues, but I welcome feedback on any issues affecting the club and the supporters. The members are all fans, and we all want the best for the supporters and the club.
