A message to Clarke to stop trying to play into the hands of pub teams that have found success by having big defenders and relying on opposition mistakes. Should be easy with a top midfield but nope, decides to bypass that today for reasons known only to himself.

 

Our final pass into the last third was woeful today. I was fuming at how many times we simply booted the ball through in such an aimless fashion.
Do we practice aimlessness in training?

We seem to lack confidence and courage when it comes to playing a passing game against physical teams. I’m not sure that the manager is to blame to be honest. We saw little or nothing of the slick passing we saw in the first half last week. Very disappointing.

 

Has he found his way to Oakwell yet?

 

Interesting what ***** he comes out with today because he needs to say it was his fault but I bet he don’t.
Probably blame the players not up for the battle.

 

Maybe those banging on and on about promotion already, will think a bit harder about it now.
Because this today disappointingly shows there's still a lot of work to be done, if we want to even think about challenging this season.
And we still haven't played one of the bigger/better teams yet in this League!.

Yeah I know.

 

Terrible result that against such a limited side who had only scored twice before today. Think we’re going to be inconsistent, some good some bad. I’ll stick to my prediction of 8th to 10th. Defence not good enough and Clarke needs to cut down the tinkering.

 

For me, enjoy the victories whilst not being daft enough basing grandiose predictions on them. However, it's also important not to go overboard with defeats, either.

 

For me Clarke is trying to be too clever for his own good.
I've no problem with changing system/personal when things aren't going well but to do it for the sake of it like it appeared to be today is just baffling

 

Just watched a 2 min interview with DC. He acknowledges how bad he was/ we were.

 

Plenty of ups and downs to come just enjoy the ride and get behind them, nobody gets promoted in September.

Not many promoted sides will get stuffed 3 zip at Stevenage though. Real rude awakening that.

 

Only one got beaten 3-0 at the now non league Rochdale during the 2015/16 season. They still won promotion.
