I’ll fill you in about the window tomorrow. 2 things about today. 1. That kit is shocking, and if we’re going to play as badly when wearing it, we should maybe incorporate a tutu and fairy wings. 2. I really didn’t see that coming today. Much was made about some of last seasons displays under Collins, but todays took some beating. I made the excuse that Steve Hillage was just shitehousing us in the first half, but they actually outplayed us in the second, no arguments. The end
Sorry to hear about your back window fella. Any chance it could be a pissed off Barnsley fan who has left the game early?
Sadly just a ‘non local’ local that thought it was my fault that his kids ran out in front of me at Tesco’s. Police involved, statements taken and him offering to pay for the glass because he doesn’t want to go to court on charges of criminal damages. Knows his rights though, as he screamed it into my open passenger side window before attempting to open the door and proceeding to punch my rear window through. There are some frighteningly unhinged people walking our streets.
Sorry to hear about that mate. Frightening how angry people are these days and what they are capable of doing. Great example to his kids smashing the rear window of your car.
The world is full of ignorant self entitled people these days. It's bloody scary out there. No thought I see of him admonishing his kids for not watching where they are going in a busy car park. Standard these days, always someone else's fault. Hope you are OK.
Sorry for being thick but what's a non local local? Do you mean a Barnsley fan from round there or a Stevenage fan from Barnsley? Also what did he scream into your window about his rights?
Thing was mate, there was a crossing only yards away. I was driving very slowly so stopped easily to let them all across. At that point a little wave of thanks would have been reciprocated, but instead he glared at us and mouthed off. Worse thing was another bloke appeared and was siding with him, saying I was driving too fast etc. CCTV begged to differ. Only thing he’d witnessed was criminal damage to my motor.
im fine thanks mate. It’s just the inconvenience of getting my car sorted and hoping that he pays up.
Yes. Police are giving me a courtesy call a week today to check that he’s transferred the money. If not he’ll be prosecuted.
Yeah I didn’t want to claim if I could help it. Hopefully he’ll pay up - if he can afford it. It’s a fair chunk tbf.
Lived local, but from another country, which maybe excuses him thinking he has a right to endanger his kids lives hoping that people will stop when they step in the road. Also from another country was the Iraqi Kurd at the Tescos car wash, who happily offered to let me vacuum all the broken glass from the parcel shelf and rear seats. I had to make him take some money off me. Two very different experiences in the space of an hour.
You'd think he'd know better than to react like that in front of his kids Think social services will be giving him a call on Monday.
