Like your son, these ‘daytrippers’ have to be won over. Shame about the performance (as the result was never in doubt) but can you say we don’t care about the ‘ non-regulars’ when we need them to boost the crowd
That keeper is awful. Nervous as hell and never comes to claim the ball ever. He’s making a bad back line look even worse. £10m? I’d rather play Killip he’s that bad. Can we send him back in January?
Bizarrely it won't go down as a proper hat trick in Germany, has to be consecutive goals in a game. Weirdos.
"Don’t play the occasion, play the game" Sir Alex once said. Wish someone had said that to the players beforehand, they looked overawed for the most part.
It’s impressive to be worse than Killip though I’d be giving Smith a game as we have seen what the others can do.
Who said that? There’s ten thousand there every week so I’m unsure where you’ve pulled a thousand from. What I’m saying is, there was lads and lasses n that away end who I see walking round the streets in Man United shirts. I ain’t got anytime for that whatsoever. As I stated, credit to the proper fans who attend week in, week out.
They’re not abit interested pal, as I’ve just said the lads in front of us were from wombwell, 3 of them are “United fans” and the other is a blade. I take my hat off the the regulars, I ain’t got time for the “I support Liverpool” but I’ll watch Barnsley when they get a big game lot.
I don’t think the players looked as overawed tonight as they did when we lost 7-0 in the League there. Vimal was looking shattered at the end of the first half so I get why he took him off. Goals 3-5 were awful to concede but having been to both Stevenage was far worse, and it was a good atmosphere at our end despite everything.
Absolutely stunned how bad he is. I genuinely thought we’d pulled a right coup off getting a £10m keeper in.
You've got to take the quality of the opposition into consideration, but that was particularly bad, both collectively and as a team. Really, really poor.
I think he's limited but not seen him make the same kind of Gaffs as this lad we're playing now, who genuinely looks like he should be playing for a university team, not a professional club.
Tough night tonight and one that we need to put behind us but we do need to show better shape and organisation, we can't keep being wide open and vulnerable to attacks.
I agree - I can't understand why someone from Barnsley would support anyone but Barnsley F C. - we have a great Club here. (Although I'd have a conflict of interest if BFC were playing my home town team Merthyr Tydfil - but that isn't going to happen for some time!) My son went tonight (just phoned) and whilst disappointed with the result he's very up-beat - liked the stadium and said the Barnsley supporters were brilliant throughout the match.
Unfortunately there's no hiding place for a keeper, would you give him the same opportunity to prove himself that you offer to Watters ?
