I don't think I've ever seen a ref as inept as that one last night. Although I thought he actually reffed well in the main. How he didn't book a united player was beyond me. Shithousery at it's finest, off the ball as well as on it.

I think the game has been done to death re the performance. But one thing I picked up on. Was the fact when utd got a corner. We shoved 2 players onto the half way line. It took 3 players to go pick em up.
    More of that please Darren.

Me and my dad said the same, they must’ve committed at least 8 fouls In the first half…….

Looked at half time and they’d committed 11. How not one resulted in a booking is beyond belief. 3 or 4 were cynical ones to stop any momentum we had. If we had committed them we’d have had 2 or 3 bookings.

I actually thought he was excellent.

ok he could have booked some of their players but he was consistent with his leniency

I've more or so said that. Reffed well in the main. His reluctance to hand out yellow cards to utd was baffling at best that first half especially. Leniency was only given to utd as they were the only ones doing any fouling and cynical challenges.
I hadn't much argument re the Goalie being booked. But given what utd had been at all night, it became predictable we'd get another yellow.

Ref at Stevenage was far worse TBH.

What about when Antony nodded a long ball safely into touch, less than 5 yards from the lino, and got a throw?
Obviously a premier league law that I hadn't picked up on.

Gavin Ward. The guy who years ago abandoned the game at Plymouth that we were leading 4-1.
Refs at SG2 Championship level and isn't highly thought of - except apparently by the powers that be.

Collyer fouled Cotter at least 5 times in the first half and wasn’t even spoken to. Humphrey’s booked for diving when seconds earlier Casimero dived for a penalty and nothing from the ref. As has already been said, nothing effecting the game as such, just more of the inconsistencies we see week in week from match officials

The Barnsley Dive decision was a bit dodgy. Why would he dive he wasn't even in area and looked like he was about to shoot.

Collyer should have been booked for his first foul which cut Barry in two.

Urgate at least 5 fouls, pretty persistent to me.

Said that for years.. why bring everyone back. It encourages all the opposition forward even the keeper late in games..fills the six yarder and hinders our goalie.. and likes been said, we leave one up, they leave two.. we leave 2 they keep 3 back.

It was the .little niggly ones every time we got away especially early on. I even looked at stats at half time I think it was 8 fouls not even a word it was frustrating.

Exactly. The irony of it being Humphrey’s getting booked for diving when that Collyer clearly kicked him. Should have been on a yellow already for that very first challenge. Ref typically just bowed to united evident throughout.

Did love when cotter just stood laughing at the Lino when the united defender clearly headed the ball out for a throw in and he gave it to them.
