It was announced that he was leaving at the end of the season. I don’t think it has been revealed which party made the choice but he’s been broken more than Phil Gridelet. A fine player when he’s healthy.

 

Rumoured to be going to Surrey. Nothing has been announced yet.

We should be batting again by tea. Gotta keep an eye on Middlesex who are going well.

 

Supposedly offered a 3 year deal too - we can't compete with that. Real shame as when he's fit, him and Coad are a brilliant opening pair.

 

He does seem to be injury prone but , having said that , his last injury was a bad ankle strain in the field at Headingley.
It’s a massive loss for us if or when he departs

 

Recruitment will be massive this summer regardless of division. Leach has gone too, that Mickey bloke was rubbish and needs to go. Cliff looks promising and there was another young lad who looks to be OK but his name escapes me atm.

Middlesex and Sussex should wrap up their wins tomorrow (and play each other in the final game). We need to push on and accelerate before the rain on Friday, otherwise they can block out the game.

 

Yeah we have a good lead of 122 after the first innings, and we're 116 for 1 now, on top of that!.
Middx are surely going to win and take it to the last game.
But fingers crossed ehh, we're still in with a great chance of Promotion. And it's all down to us now, and not relying on other teams results!.

 

Biggest factors for next week will be the weather and getting a pitch at HQ that actually garners 20 wickets for us....
