Conceded 10 and scored 0 in 2 games over 4 days, so I'm just hoping for some sort of improvement, which shouldn't be difficult.
Burton only lost and drawn this season so it’s pretty much envitable that we turn up and give them their first win of the season.
Hard to predict any scores until the team settles into some kind of rhythm, I really hope that we can dig out a win to help build momentum and keep fans off Clarke's back. 2-1 reds with fingers definitely crossed.
I suppose we have to be beating the likes of Burton if we have any ambitions at all of going up this season. I’ll predict a 3-1 win with DKD scoring all three
Another difficult game to call especially after Stevenage and the ‘mishap’ in Manchester. I can see another tight cagey game similar to the first half in Stevenage though thankfully they’re not as physical which should be to our advantage. However, apparently they are tidy on the break which may cause us problems. I would like us to continue with the four at the back but without Donovan I don’t think it works so reverting to back three seems sensible. Additionally, we should start with Cosgrove and see if we can win the aerial battle with DKD and Philips behind him. I agree that it would be good to see Lofthouse instead of CoK though I believe they like to attack down the flanks so I don’t think it will happen. Neither fill me confidence from a defensive point of view and I would say there’s an argument - from a least worst point of view - for playing Luca on the left of a midfield four especially with our abundance of midfielders but I think he’ll continue with the CoK. I think we’ve got enough to win this game though I can see ending in a draw. With that in mind, I’ve gone for Barnsley double chance and over 2 goals at 23/20. If I've got my big boy pants on I might supplement it with Roberts to score with a header at 20/1 though I’m 0/5 on my Barnsley League bets this season which is my worse run since I started betting on us 3 seasons ago.
