Warrington rightly not being allowed to fight for the title. Looking forward to AJ ending the fight around rounds 6-9.
AJ should get him out of there in the first three rounds I imagine. Not sure Daniel can handle the sort of concussive combos Joshua delivers. But, and it's a big one, if DDD can stay in there, the longer it goes the better his chances of hurting him. Heavyweight boxing though, so you just never know. Looking forward to seeing Sheeraz. Probably my favourite boxer right now after Fury. Special talent and Denny should be a good step-up test.
I can’t see how the fight goes into the 2nd half. Dubois eats shots & throws plenty. He can’t eat shots against Joshua so he’s either getting knocked out early or knocking Joshua out early. I think the best bets under 7 rounds. Joshua a favourite for me but Dubois is a very live underdog
I thought Dubois handled himself well against Usyk up until he "quit", and arguably should have beat him but for the "low blow", so you could argue he put on a better showing than AJ's two attempts. I am an AJ fan and would love for him to win and Fury to beat Usyk to set up the monster fight next year, but really fancy Dubois to win early tonight in the first 3
Agree on the dream Fury v AJ scenario. I think there's a good fighter in Daniel. And he did take some big shots from Miller and Hrgovic without quitting. But Joshua punches a lot harder. Not sure anyone AJ has fought in recent years can bang like Dubois though, so you never know.
You say that as if it’s a terrible result. Dubois fought for 8 rounds with a fractured eye socket & was neck & neck on the cards. Joyce then fought Parker & won almost every second of every round before conclusively stopping him. He’s gone over the hill now at nearly 40 but for a year or so Joyce was regarded as a top 4 heavyweight in the world & deserved to win gold at the 2016 olympics. He was a bloody good fighter. That being said I also think Joshua stops Dubois I just think the Joyce loss is irrelevant.
No need for all the Saudi brown nosing to be allowed in thanking them for the event and having their national anthem played.
