Morrisons has a big distribution centre at Wakefield 41 business park too.

Wombwell has some very nice areas. It has the best shopping outside of Barnsley Town centre, rail connections to Sheffield - Leeds and Huddersfield. Frequent bus service to Barnsley, Rotherham and Doncaster. Close to the M1 and A1. Very good Broadband if you are on a cable network. If you like a drink we have some decent pubs some with live bands.

    Hi mate

If you want to buy a house when you move, I'd highly recommend you speak with a mortgage broker (eg, me :D) to establish your budget. This will help with the area that you might ultimately be able to afford and be happy in.

When you relocate a significant distance, it can make life a bit trickier with lenders as if realistically the distance and job role mean a change of job is essential, this will complicate things. For example, it's all very well someone being able to prove current income, but what will their income be when they've moved? Realistically, in this situation (assuming you're moving a distance not realistically commutable), then a job offer needs to be in place, and of course a house move takes on average 3 months, so it's not easy. A transfer would be ideal and make life a lot easier; nothing to stop you changing jobs once you're up here then.

Happy to chat it through - send me a DM if helpful.

    No worries if not obviously.

Let's hear it for Grimethorpe, at least they have a decent band when they're not brassed off.

    I got that letter too.

Am still wondering whether it's Baggio, Carlos or Duran.

Nowt wrong with parts of Kendray just like any other areas has good parts and bad.
Didn't like the place growing up as grew up in the area next to Kendray I have now lived there for last 10 years, no houses across road from where I live and can see all town centre and surrounding areas and the mighty Oakwell from my window walking distance to town centre.

B4stards, they want to buy my house too. Though if Roberto and Collette have £1,000,000, I'll leave all the coyl in the cellar.

    How generous. :)
For £1m, I'll put a 4th bedroom in the attic. Free of charge. And throw in a £1k bed.
