Lots of season ticket holders among the total didn't rock up. Certainly around me. That would be included in the total. I'd have gone for around 12k.
Great atmosphere tonight. Fans didn't deserve that performance when they could have watched it on telly. If I could afford it I'd go Tuesday because we'll probably arsehole them in front of two blokes and a Whippet. It was ever thus. Bigger the crowd, bigger the disappointment .
Don't make the mistake of empty seats not included in the total. Most clubs include season ticket holders whether they turn up or not. Clubs used to get accused of fiddling the figures at one time well below what folk thought had attended a game. And accused of avoiding the taxman etc. Now the opposite accusations have taken over. But in reality does it really matter. Be difficult to justify takings if more than stated. Obviously when a special offer occurs like tonight a higher attendance can be justified. 9k season ticket holders. 2k freebies 2.5k away fans Few hundred match day customers. You'd not be far off.
A stand being sold out, and the people with those tickets turning up, are two different things. This has been explained to you before.
How many times does it need explaining? Tickets sold for the seats, regardless if that ticket holder turns up or not...
Tbh I reckon you'd get your money back if you complained. That was a tough watch tonight. But we move on.
I'll go for 9K. Announced. Just short of 9k season ticket holders I believe. Couple of hundred pay on dayers. And 100 wycombe fans.
Won't be far off. Little to no away following, very few non season ticket holders in the home end. I'll go 9700.
Tbh mate till I just looked, I thought one of Our last 2 league games at home dipped under 10k. I've changed it to 9699.
